Your Story Teller: Real Stories of Grass-root Communities
Your Story Teller is an Android application that offers an ever-growing collection of real stories of grass-root communities of India, South Asia, and Africa. The app releases a new story every week, which is an episode like an audio comic book with 2D animations, graphics, and audio support in local languages, including Hindi, Punjabi, Marathi, Urdu, Kannada, Tamil, French, German, Spanish, and more, supported by English translations.
The app has over 200 stories in the pipeline, with 2-3 new stories being released every week in local languages like Hindi, Bengali, Urdu, Punjabi, Marathi, Tamil, Telugu, and Kannada. Each story is also available in English language and can be downloaded once and played offline. The stories are based on real issues faced by the communities living under extreme conditions, such as poverty, hunger, maternal and child issues, human rights violations, issues of poor farmers, people living in distress, trafficking, issues related to women equality and rights, and more. The app aims to bring the voices of people from the ground and tell their stories through audio comics, which is the first global initiative of its kind to tell the stories of the underprivileged, poor, and disconnected.
